Example of a Good Catch

As a healthcare provider, you walk into a patient’s room with medication but see that the medication you have is not the right one for that patient. You know this before the medication is administered. Whew! That was a near miss. The reason you realize this is a mistake is that you were following the National Patient Safety Goal for properly identifying the patient.
