Ambulatory
C4I Ambulatory Subgroup
The Ambulatory Subcommittee of C4I is dedicated to insuring the highest quality of care to all outpatients, approximately 40,000 each year, who visit the Health Center. Timely, efficient
and high quality care is a priority.
The subcommittee developed evidence-based guidelines for practitioners caring for patients with a variety of diseases including diabetes, asthma, hypertension and heart failure. Focus is
also on keeping healthy patients healthy. Several guidelines are being for cancer screening, vaccine administration and smoking cessation.
The subcommittee is partnering with the Information Technology Department to automate a system to remind providers about patient tests, treatments or screening procedures that are due. This
allows practitioners more face-time to spend with their patients.
The initiatives of the Ambulatory Subcommittee are aligned with the C4I overall mission of creating multidisciplinary groups, consisting of doctors, nurses, administrators, medical support
staff and patients, working together to create a culture of excellence in patient care in a safe environment.
